VOLUNTEER: PUBLIC RELATIONS ASSOCIATE

• Department: Development

• Number of Positions: 1

• Volunteer Hours of Service:2-4 Hours Per Month.

Job Duties:  

• Assist the Development & Marketing Director in generating more public exposure by interacting with various media sources such as radio, television and local newspapers.  Coordinate special visits and site tours with various entities of the community. 

• Assist with the development of a Speakers Bureau and develop Speakers Bureau Calendar.

• Fax on demand articles for press releases.

• Assist in the promotion of agency sponsored events.

• Develop tour opportunities via trade shows and agency fairs.

Agency Goal:  To generate more public exposure of agancy's mission and service to young abused and neglected boys.

Agency Support:  Will work closely with the Marketing & Development Director in carrying out duties and activities.

Agency Training:  Required attendance at the Volunteer Orientation Meeting.

Agency Requirements: All staff & volunteers are required to have negative TB test results.

Qualifications:  Knowledge of the computer and good personal relations skills.  Excellent writing skills a plus.

Additional Information: This position may be combined with Fund-Raising Event Associate and Grant Writer for work-study.
