Intake Procedure and Criteria

St. Peter's Home accepts referrals from FIA and CMH from the State of Michigan of boys who are between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age who requires out of home placement. Boys who are referred must be able to function in an open residential setting. Primarily residents are neglect/abuse status, delinquent status able to function in low security situation, and mental health referrals of mildly disturbed status. All boys should have an IQ FS of 75 or above. All referrals are to be directed to the Social Service Director for evaluation of appropriateness of the setting for the resident. This includes examination of previous case records, psychological testing, educational history, placement history and a pre admission intake interview.
