 Pre-Conditions of Employment

 

TB Test Requirement

Each employee and volunteer must have a Chest X-ray or TB skin Test prior to employment and every three (3) years following, in accordance with Michigan Department of Licensing, Rule 400.4114.

 

Driver's License Requirement

A valid Drivers License and eligibility for coverage by our Insurance carrier are required by all employees.

 

Abuse and Neglect Register Clearance

The primary resident and student at St. Peter’s Home for Boys are court wards due o abuse and neglect. Any person employed at St. Peter’s Home for Boys must first receive clearance from Michigan Department of Human Services (formerly FIA).

 

Benefits

(after 90 days employment)

There are no benefits for part-time employees.

 

Health Insurance

Blue Care Network provides the medical coverage.

 

Dental Insurance

Delta Dental of Michigan provides the dental coverage.

 

Eye Care

Vision Insurance is provided by CO/OP optical.

 

Group Life Insurance/Disability Insurance

UNUM provides the coverage for this insurance.

 

Retirement Annuity  (Non Union Only)

All salary employees may participate in the retirement annuity program after one year of employment.

 

 

Vacation Time 10-20 days first year 15-20 days end of third year depending on position

Illness Days     12 per year as earned

Personal Days  3 per year as earned

Paid Holidays An employee’s Birthday (only after probationary period); New Years Day, January 1st ; Martin Luther King, third Monday of January; Memorial Day, Last Monday of May; Fourth of July ; Labor Day, First Monday of September, Thanksgiving Day, Fourth Thursday of November and Christmas December 25.
